Nitrogen Footprints

Nitrous oxide, also known as 'laughing gas,' is a powerful greenhouse gas that is naturally released by the oceans and soil-borne bacteria and emitted by humans through synthetic nitrogen-based fertilizer use, automobile exhaust, waste-sewage treatment processes, and other activities.
