Nitrogen Offsets
noun: a nitrogen offset is a credit available for purchase that represents a past, pending or proposed greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction achieved through a GHG mitigating or sequestering project; a nitrogen footprint expressed in units of tons of carbon dioxide equivalent can be offset by a reduction of any other greenhouse gas expressed in those same units.
